Anne has been part of the Walker & Sutcliffe team for nine years as our Tax Manager. With her extensive knowledge of tax compliance and legislation, she expertly handles all corporate and personal tax matters.
Anne also specialises in research and development claims, capital allowances, tax planning, and capital gains tax.
Outside of work, Anne enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring new places and is currently learning Spanish to connect with her son who recently moved to Valencia. She also loves city walking tours and relaxing with a good book.
Alex, our Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior, joined the Walker & Sutcliffe apprenticeship programme in 2021. He is now experienced in sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts alongside computerised bookkeeping.
Outside of work, Alex trains in submission grappling, and jiu-jitsu, and enjoys weightlifting. He's also recently taken up running and completed the Robin Hood Half Marathon!
Gary is our Accounts & Audit Senior. Joining Walker & Sutcliffe over eight years ago, Gary became part of our team straight from college when he joined the company's apprenticeship programme.
Playing a key role in our team, Gary assists with audits and is an expert in year-end, sole trader and partnership accounts.
Outside of work, Gary is passionate about rugby league and football. Describing himself as clumsy, friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, and sporty, Gary embodies a bright and supportive presence at Walker & Sutcliffe.
Gemma is the newest addition to the Walker & Sutcliffe family, having joined the team as our Tax Assistant Manager in the autumn of 2024. An experienced payroll and VAT manager, Gemma manages company tax returns and personal tax alongside any ad hoc tax queries that arise.
Gemma loves the fact that tax is always evolving, and is passionate about staying ahead of the changes so that she can find the best solutions for our clients.
Outside of work, when Gemma’s not studying for her ACA and CTA qualifications, she loves crafting, especially creating bath bombs and candles.
Gemma brings a positive attitude and enthusiasm to the team.
Kathryn has been a vital part of Walker & Sutcliffe for over 25 years as P.A. to partner, Nick Ledgard. She excels in client liaison, new client onboarding, and team management. What Kathryn loves most about working here is the strong sense of teamwork and the lasting relationships she has built with clients, some of whom have been with us for as long as she has.
Outside of work, Kathryn is focused on spending quality time with her friends and family - especially with her toddler!

Lynn has been part of the Walker & Sutcliffe family for nine years as our Bookkeeper. She specialises in day-to-day bookkeeping, management accounts, and VAT.
Lynn ensures that all bookkeeping matters are handled efficiently. She provides clients with tailored support based on their needs, whether working from the office or at a clients' premises.
Outside of work, Lynn has a passion for horse riding, including dressage, show jumping, and cross-country. You’ll often find her enjoying the outdoors with her Springer Spaniel, Maisy, and her family.
Martin is the Payroll Manager at Walker & Sutcliffe, a role he has enjoyed for 27 years. Expertly managing all payroll functions, he supports our clients with their weekly, fortnightly, or monthly payroll.
Martin's areas of expertise include auto-enrolments, pension schemes and company secretarial, where he can provide vital assistance and guidance.
Outside of work, Martin enjoys watching sports, particularly snooker, which he also plays. When he finds time, he also enjoys reading and listening to music too.

Nick has been a partner at Walker & Sutcliffe since 2003 and brings nearly 30 years of accounting experience to the team.
Nick’s approach is to first understand clients’ long-term ambitions and real-world challenges, then develop practical strategies to help them achieve their goals.
He has a particular interest in the manufacturing, retail, and wholesale sectors, and he specialises in managing the financial affairs of insurance brokers and estate agents.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys playing cricket and golf. He also loves spending time with his wife, Debbie, walking in the Yorkshire countryside and caring for rescue animals.
His commitment to understanding and supporting his clients is matched by his passion for enjoying life outside of work.
Rachel is the Accounts & Audit Manager at Walker & Sutcliffe and has been part of the team for over fourteen years. At just 24 years old, she passed her chartered exams and became a fully qualified Chartered Accountant.
Rachel oversees our non-audit limited company and sole trader clients across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, hospitality and distribution. She is also a qualified auditor, managing a small portfolio of our audit clients.
Outside of work, Rachel loves keeping fit and enjoys activities like golf, going to the gym, and walking.
Known for her friendly and cheerful approach, she takes pride in helping clients make informed decisions and ensuring they feel supported.
Sarah has been at Walker & Sutcliffe for almost three years as our Accounts Senior. Part of our accounts team, she is an expert in limited company and pension scheme accounts, computerised bookkeeping, property clients, and VAT. Sarah is well-equipped to assist with a wide range of accountancy needs.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys walking, reading, and travelling. One of her personal highlights was visiting Mount Etna, an active stratovolcano in Italy.
Tracey has been with Walker & Sutcliffe for over 20 years as our Tax Assistant, providing invaluable support within the tax team. She serves as the first point of contact for clients regarding personal tax matters and ensures that everyone receives a warm and friendly welcome when they visit our office.
Outside of work, Tracey enjoys walking and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also has a passion for cross-stitching and loves going away in her motorhome.
